Privacy Policy
Policy Statement
At My Wellbeing Supports, we are deeply committed to safeguarding the personal information of everyone who engages with our services.
We collect, use, store, and share personal data only when necessary—and always in accordance with Australian privacy laws and ethical standards. Our practices are designed to ensure that your information is handled with care, respect, and transparency.
All personal data is stored securely, whether in physical files or digital systems. Access is strictly limited to authorised personnel, and we use password protection, secure storage, and confidentiality agreements to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure.
Every individual has the right to control who can access their personal information. Our team is trained to uphold these rights and to communicate clearly about how your data is used.
We believe privacy is not just a legal obligation—it’s a core part of building trust and delivering safe, person-centred support.
How We Collect Information
At My Wellbeing Supports, we collect personal information directly from participants, their families, and authorised representatives to ensure we deliver safe, responsive, and person-centred services.
We only collect information that is necessary for your care and support. This may include contact details, health information, emergency contacts, service history, and feedback.
Before collecting any data, we explain what is being collected, why it’s needed, how it will be used, and who may access it.
We always seek consent before collecting personal information, and we respect the right to decline or withdraw consent at any time. Information is gathered sensitively, lawfully, and with full transparency.
Our team is trained to communicate clearly and respectfully, using language and formats that suit your individual needs—including Easy English, interpreters, or visual aids where required.
How We Use and Disclose Personal Information
At My Wellbeing Supports, we use personal and health information solely to provide safe, effective, and person-centred services. This includes assessing eligibility, planning and delivering support, monitoring outcomes, and meeting our legal and contractual obligations.
We only share your information:
- With your consent
- In emergencies where your safety or wellbeing is at risk
- When required by law (e.g. mandatory reporting)
- With authorised third parties involved in your care (e.g.: allied health and medical professionals, service providers, support coordinators etc.)
We never sell or misuse your data. Any sharing of information is done with care, transparency, and respect for your privacy. You have the right to know who has access to your information and to request corrections if needed.
