Behaviour Support Practitioner

Sam is a dedicated and analytical practitioner who brings a thoughtful, person-centred approach to his work in Positive Behaviour Support. He is passionate about supporting individuals to improve their quality of life and achieve meaningful, sustainable outcomes within their communities.

 

With a diverse professional background in technology consulting, business leadership, and community advocacy, Sam offers a unique blend of structured problem-solving and genuine empathy. He is currently completing a Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology), and applies a holistic, evidence-informed lens to his practice.

 

Sam has strong skills in understanding complex behaviours and developing clear, practical strategies that support long-term positive change. His approach is grounded in active listening, collaboration, and building trust with the individuals and families he supports.

 

Alongside his professional work, Sam volunteers as a Lifeline Crisis Support Worker, where he provides immediate, compassionate assistance to individuals in distress. He is experienced in de-escalation, advocacy, and supporting people to access appropriate mental health pathways.

 

Sam is known for his ability to translate complex behavioural concepts into clear, accessible, and actionable reports, ensuring that support strategies are easy to understand and implement across teams.

 

Outside of work, Sam enjoys spending time with his family and is a passionate reader, technology enthusiast, and keen golfer. He is driven by continuous learning and a strong commitment to making a lasting positive impact in the lives of others.
